10th Ramadhan 1432H

Bismillah.

11th Ramadhan, 1,392 years ago was a day of sorrow for one by the name of Muhammad Al-Mustafa, the Beloved of Allah.

This day, 1,392 years ago was undoubtedly the most sorrowful day of a year that later became known as the Year of Sorrow - Aam-ul Huzn.

Imagine how he felt when the woman he loved so dearly, the honorable woman who chose to marry a somewhat average man like him, the mother of his favorite daughter Fatimah az-Zahra, the first person to have professed syahadah, the woman who gave up her wealth for the faith he was propagating, the woman who gave up her comfortable lifestyle just to be with him, the woman who had it all - beauty, wealth, status, akhlak and the love of the Beloved of Allah, the woman upon whom Allah sent salam...imagine how he felt when Khadijah binti Khuwailid (r.a) left him on this sorrowful day?

Today, so long ago, our Prophet, the last Prophet, the chosen Prophet, the one who taught us to read in the Name of our Lord, the one who taught us about solat, about fasting, about our Creator, about angels, about the hereafter, the one who gave us our deen, because of him we can be hopeful about life after death, because of him Allah has granted His mercy on us, today, his other half left him.

Can you not imagine how heart broken our Prophet must have been?
Al Fatihah to Ummul Mukminin Saydatina Khadijah al-Kubra.
Allahumma salli ala Muhammad wa 'ala aali Muhammad.
Allah blessings be upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
