7th Ramadhan 1432H (Ramadhan Tausiyah by Shaykh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani)

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah, yesterday Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi impressed upon us the significance of making salawat to Rasulullah s.a.w. Alhamdulillah he increased our awareness on our relationship with Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. Alhamdulillah he made us more conscious of the living presence of the Beloved of Allah s.a.w. May Allah keeps this feeling of wakefulness to the existence of the Prophet every minute of our lives.

Undoubtedly Muhammad is the most prominent of all prophets. We love all the other prophets too. We have faith in them. We have faith in the angels too. We are the believers of the unseen bi-iznillah. The angels and the prophets may be in a different dimension than us, they are supra-sacred beings but the venerable Shaykh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani in his Ramadhan tausiyah said something concerning them that we should deeply consider. That our hearts may "come to be like the hearts of the angels and the Prophets (nabiyyun)"!

He, Shaykh Al-Jilani qaddasallahu sirruh said:
"Your outer being and your physical form must go toward creatures, and your inner being, your kernel (lubb) and your spiritual content (ma'na) toward the Creator. Then your heart will come to be like the hearts of the angels and the Prophets (nabiyyun). Your heart will eat and quench its thirst from their food and drink. This is a matter that relates to hearts and innermost beings and spiritual contents, not to physical forms."

Subhanallah!
And he, Shaykh Al-Jilani qaddasallahu sirruh followed this statement with a du'a:
"O Allah,
delight our hearts,
clothe our innermost beings with robes of honor,
and set our minds on what is between us and You,
beyond the understanding of creatures
and our own understanding."

May Allah bless us with the ability to direct our outer to the creatures and to devote our inner to the Creator. May Allah honor us with ma'rifah by the blessings of Rasulullah s.a.w. Ameen.
